BC Garn – Allino
3.29€ – 4.70€
You like the sensation of freshness of a linen fabric on your skin, but you find its stiffness unpleasant to knit? Why not try BC Garn’s Allino ?
This yarn is indeed a beautiful blend of half cotton and half linen. This way, the linen lightens the cotton fiber, and the cotton softens the linen. A match made in heaven! Even if it still stiff to knit, you will find that it is way more pleasant under your fingers than a 100% linen yarn. Plus, once you will have washed it and worn it, you will forget all the troubles it might have caused you!
The fibers used in this yarn give it a mat finish, slightly heathered, very pleasant. Plus, BC Garn has developped a wide range of colours, with 36 shades to pick from. From the softest to the boldest, every one will find something to its taste! And if you are feeling like it, you can even play with stripes, or make a beautiful fade with it.
What you need to know about this yarn:

With its fresh feel, that softens as time passes, BC Garn’s Allino is perfect for all your summery projects. Whether a shawl for the chilly evenings, or a sweater to put on quickly, or a casual top, it can be used for almost everything! The French designer Folie Ordinaire has indeed created a pretty sleeveless top using it, with a lace stitch, the Corbetti top that you can see here in the photos (pattern on Ravelry). Here, we can also see it knitted in a 3/4 sleeved Mollie, to slip above a tank top or your bathsuit, when going home after a day at the beach in Brittany 😉
And for more inspiration, the Ravelry page dedicated to this yarn is still a wonderful source of ideas!
