CaMaRose – Snefnug
You like those fluffy yarn made of blown fibers, but not that they are often made around a synthetic core? CaMaRose created a 100% natural version with its Snefnug yarn! Snefnug means snowflake in Danish, and it is really a good name for it. This yarn is indeed extremely soft, light and aerial. And entirely made of natural fibers! Imagine a cloud of baby alpaca fiber, with just a touch of extra-fine merino thrown in it. Would you want to wrap yourself in it? Here, we certainly would! Unlike what its name could lead us to believe, baby alpaca is not the result of the first shearing of an alpaca. Actually, it refers to a class of very fine fiber. And the finest the fiber, the softest the yarn! And if you want to add a touch of bling bling to your projects, you can mix the Snefnug with its little sister, the Stjernestov. Quite similar, but this time the fibers are blown in a lurex tube instead of a cotton one. Sparkling effect guaranteed! Note: both those yarns have been developped while paying great attention to the environment, as well as to the human respect and animal well-being. The merino fiber comes from mulesing-free farms. And both have been produced by an Italian family-run spinning-mill.
