Free “recipe” pattern to knit a little sweater in a burnou style in size 2yo. With its hood ending in a tassel and its cuddly garter stitch, this sweater will keep your baby warm. Comfortable thanks to its A shaping, it will accompany them in all their adventures, without hindering their gestures. Super cute, it will soon become a must-have of their wardrobe!
This sweater in knitted flat, from the bottom up, in pieces that you will then sew. In our sample, we used a medium-weight yarn in double, but you can also use a heavier yarn.
Note : this pattern is only a “recipe”. The stitches and techniques used are not detailed. However, they are not specific nor difficult. Thus you will be able to find tutorials on the internet easily if needed.

- 2 yo, for a bust size of about 61 cm
- 15 stitches = 10 cm in garter stitch knitted flat
Note: the measures given in the recipe are in centimeters, not in rows, so you can adapt if you are slightly out of gauge.
Yarn & Notions:
- 10 balls of Challenge by Bouton d’Or (50% wool, 50% acrylic – 115 m / 50g), or about 1150 m of any other DK yarn (held double), or about 575m of any other worsted / aran yarn (single strand) that gives you the right gauge
- Straight or circular needles to get gauge (suggested size: 6.5 mm)
