Le manteau de Lino

Le Manteau de Lino, meaning Lino’s Coat, is a knitting pattern for a baby coat in garter stitch, with a cute elfish hood and a double buttoning. Closed by four big buttons, this coat is easy to put on your baby. Plus, the cuddly garter stitch, even cuddlier thanks to the weight of the yarn, makes it a real cocoon to keep your baby warm, wrapped in softness. This version is a “light” one, kind of a recipe for one size. The complete version with a wider range of sizes and detailed instructions can be found here: Jules.

This coat is knitted in one piece, from one sleeve to the other, flat. You will pick up stitches to knit the hood, that you can close either by seaming it or using a three needle bind off. The sleeves and sides of the coat are seamed.
