Setina is a large shawl, with an original construction that makes it a pleasure to wrap around your shoulders. Worked in the length, the increasing and decreasing sets bring some rhythm to its stripes. This way, they change direction with each panel, which gives a geometrical aspect and so a resolutely modern vibe to this shawl. Plus, a delicate lacy edge softens it, all the while complimenting the stripes with its own geometry. Easy to memorize, this border is knitted at the same time than the body of the shawl, breaking the knitting routine of the garter stitch. And as the rows are quite short, you have a pattern that knits up quickly without being boring! Ready to cast on? Don’t forget to link your project to the Ravelry page of the pattern 😉

Thanks to its particular construction, you will be able to knit this shawl with almost any yarn and so plau on its size. Actually, there is an entire paragraph in the pattern to explain how to do so!

This listing is for the knitting pattern (pdf) of the Setina shawl (in French and in English).
