Lama Tweed – CaMaRose

You are looking for a yarn with a rustic feel, but not scratchy like grandma’s was? CaMaRose’s Lama Tweed might be a good match!

This single-ply yarn is made of 40% llama fiber, 40% Peruvian wool and 20% rayon. The rayon is responsible for the tweed effect, giving pretty nepps of various colours depending on the colour of the base. Light and sturdy, this yarn is also very soft in spite of its rustic aspect. Plus, the blend of llama fiber, with its hollow core, and of Peruvian wool is particularly warm.

Note: this yarn needs to be washed to show its real potential. It will bloom once rinced and dried. So let’s knit some swatches!

Like for all the other yarns of the brand, CaMaRose has selected ethical production circuit and spinning-mill. Environment being one of their concerns, as well as human respect and animal well-being, the company has worked for the last 10 years with the same Peruvian spinning mill, which shares their values, to produce this particular yarn. In fact, this yarn has partly been produced thanks to solar energy 😉
