In the mood for a light and warm shawl or sweater, in a delicate colour? Kokon Merino Fingering might be the yarn you are looking for!

With its 320 meters per 100 grams, this yarn is categorized as fingering. But it also is a good choice for every project that asks for sport weight wool. Spun from beautiful South Africa merino fibers, it has been superwash treated to be soft and durable.

Note: Michelle du Plessis, Kokon’s dyer and founder, favours ethically producted yarns. The merino wool that she chose comes from mulesing-free farms*.

This Merino Fingering range features semi-solid colours. The colour palette totally belongs to the dyer’s universe: soft and muted. Whatever colour you will buy, it will be perfect to knit beautiful wardrobe basics or highlight the combination of stitches of a more elaborate pattern.

If you want to see what this yarn looks like once knitted, or have some ideas as to what to knit with it, its Ravelry page is here.

*Mulesing is a violent operation, used by some sheep breeders. If you are concerned by animal well-being, it is something you will want to take into account for your next yarn purchases.

**Speckles are points and traces of contrasting colors on a solid base.
