You like speckled yarn, but you also want more sober knitted items? Kokon Merino Fingering Speckled will be a good choice for you!

Extremely soft, this yarn weight is a fingering one, yet it will also be perfect for every project requiring a sport weight yarn. It is made of 100% merino fiber sourced from mulesing-free* South Africa sheep farms, where both humans and animals are treated with respect. Michelle du Plessis, the dyer behind Kokon yarns, has indeed at heart to use ethically sourced wools.

Each skein is unique as it is hand-dyed. The yarn base is the same than the Semi-Solid Merino Fingering of the brand. Actually, you will find complementary colours to the Sea, Black and Leaf Speckled. Perfect to play on stripes or to do some subtle colourwork!

What you need to know about that yarn:

  • Weight: Fingering / Sport;
  • Composition: 100 % superwash merino;
  • 320 m / 100g skeins;
  • Available in 4 shades;
  • Gauge: 28 m pour 10 cm;
  • Needles: 2.75 – 3.5 mm;
  • Handwash.

Kokon’s Merino Fingering, in its delicate Speckled colours, will bring a touch of whimsy to your most understated knitting projects. The sweater pattern designed by Eri, Nell, is a beautiful example of what this yarn looks like once knitted (see the Ravelry page of this pattern!).

Soft, warm and with just a touch of originality, this yarn is a delight!

*Mulesing, a practice used by some sheep farmers, is akin to animal torture. If you are concerned by our woolly friends well-being, you will want to take this into account.
