BC Garn – Semilla Melange
Looking for a yarn that looks rustic, but does not itch? Let’s try BC Garn’s Semilla Melange!
This beautiful 100% pure wool yarn, which seems kind of rough at first sight, is in fact a carded wool. It might feel quite dry under your fingers, but once washed, it will bloom and soften. In fact, even if it is categorized as a “sport” one, its gauge is more of a DK one. You will knit very light pieces!
Plus, the GOTS certification* is a guarantee as to the quality of the wool, but also as to its production. By choosing this yarn, you make yourself a beautiful gift, all the while taking care of your own skin and of the environment!
With its wonderful colour palette, the Semilla Mélange is a good friend of all your colorwork projects. For example, if you like Caitlin Hunter’s work, Boyland Knitworks‘s designer, this yarn can be a good pick to knit one of her patterns. Indeed, several of them, like for example the Festive Doodle (available on Ravelry or on her website), ask for a gauge quite similar to this yarn. Plus, with its numerous assorted shades, more or less heathered, this yarn is a good candidate to work fades, stripes, and / or colorblock designs.
