The Fibre Co. – Amble Mini
The mini size of the beautiful Amble yarn made by The Fibre Co. !
With such a name, this merino, alpaca and nylon blend is meant to make pretty and comfortable socks. Actually, it has everything to do exactly that. In fact, the merino and alpaca fibers give softness and warmness, a real treat for your feet. But the practical side of things has not been overlooked though. Indeed, both fibers have received an “easy wash” treatment. It is a process that makes them more resistant to felting, just like “superwash” does. But this treatment is environment friendly ! As it does not use chlorine, it does not create toxical wastes.
And what about the nylon, will you ask? Considered a necessary thing to make the yarn resistant to friction, the nylon used here comes from recycling industrial wastes. Another good point for this yarn!
In a nutshell, here is a yarn that is pleasant both to knit and to wear, easy to clean, that will last a long time, and with a minimum impact on the environment. What more to ask?
